Workplace Considerations
- Inform your employer early if you’ll need lighter duties.
- Avoid heavy lifting or repetitive gripping until cleared.
- For self-employed patients, phased return or modified tasks can help maintain income while healing.
Fit Notes and Medical Certificates
If you need a fit note, please ask during your consultation with Mr Fawdington or contact your GP. Private certificates can be provided where required.
Summary: Everyone heals at a different pace. Safe return depends on comfort, strength, and confidence, not just time elapsed.
If you’re experiencing hand and wrist or related symptoms, we can confirm the cause and tailor a plan – often starting with splints/hand therapy and exercises, with medicines, injections or surgery only where appropriate.
