Scar & Skin Care
Scar and skin care products can be useful after surgery or injury once the wound has healed sufficiently and dressing advice allows transition to scar management or skin care. Silicone-based products are commonly used for mature or healing scars, while simple dressings and creams or oils may be useful for minor wound protection.
This category can also include moisturisers and skin-protection products, particularly where skin becomes dry beneath splints or after repeated washing. The overall aim is to support skin comfort and, where appropriate, scar maturation.
For wounds that are not healing normally, products should not replace proper clinical review.
